We’re sure you’ve heard “unfortunately we’re out of stock in that” a few too many times this year #covid. The unfortunate reality is that everyone is facing material shortages, shipping delays or manufacturing issues due to the pandemic. As we do our best to help our customers find solutions, we thought you might find it helpful to have an overview of the standard materials we carry that may be unfamiliar to you.
The first helpful tool we have is our HTV Compatibility Chart which tells you at a glance what fabrics the material will adhere to, how thick the material is, whether you can layer it, application specifications etc. We recommend printing this out and keeping it posted somewhere easy to reference. Beyond that, we’ve listed below some of the standard materials we carry that maybe you haven’t tried and some of their main attributes.
SportFilm Lite™ This material is thin yet durable, cuts and weeds easily, and is great for lightweight active garments.
- Goes On: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, Cotton/Poly blends, Lycra®/Spandex blends, Nylon
- Thickness: 100 microns
- Carrier: Frosted, Pressure-Sensitive, Light Tack
Premium Plus™ This low-temp material is the ideal choice when decorating heat-sensitive performance wear. Once applied, has an extremely soft and lightweight feel.
- Goes On: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, Cotton/Poly blends, Lycra®/Spandex blends
- Thickness: 80-108 microns
- Carrier: Frosted, Pressure-Sensitive, Light Tack
EasyWeed® This material applies at a lower temperature, can be peeled hot or cold, is thinner than others, and uses lower pressure.
- Goes On: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, Cotton/Poly blends, Polyester knits, Leather
- Thickness: 90 microns
- Carrier: Clear, Pressure-Sensitive, High Tack
SmashOn® 2.0 Talk about low-temp application – 250° for 5 seconds! Thin and durable, layerable plus a matte finish.
- Goes On: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, Lycra®/Spandex
- Thickness: 90 microns
- Carrier: Clear, Pressure-Sensitive
CADflex™ This material is perfect for pressing athletic names, numbers, and team logos. Non-stick carrier makes it easy to work with. Cannot be layered.
- Goes On: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, Cotton/Poly blends, Leather
- Thickness: 175 microns
- Carrier: Frosted, Non Pressure-Sensitive
